How It All Started

My passion for dentistry began as a young teenager. I used to spend every afternoon in my parents’ practice where I finished homework around patients in the waiting room. I was always affected by the close relationship my parents had with their patients. This motivated me to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon.

I, then, completed my residency training at the University of Texas Health in San Antonio (UTHSA) where I also received a Master’s in Dental Science.

During those three years, I focused on refining my interpretation method, rendering it clinically relevant to address the purpose of the imaging method while including incidental findings. I also concentrated on research, where my thesis study was focused on the effect of three-dimensional imaging in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning of invasive cervical root resorption.

I am also lucky to act as the Clinical Education Specialist at Carestream Dental where I serve as a consultant, educator and instructional expert in clinical affairs.

Because of this, I get to share knowledge around the country alongside remarkable speakers on the importance of incorporating digital imaging in their workflow and developing a systematic interpretation method to increase diagnostic accuracy.
